There are plenty of spots to eat sushi on the Las Vegas Strip, however, there are fewer places to grab sushi in downtown Las Vegas. While testing all of the sushi restaurants in Las Vegas, I got a chance to find some of the hidden gems that serve sushi on Fremont Street.
Currently, only two sushi restaurants are located directly on Fremont Street, but a few others are scattered throughout the Arts District in downtown Las Vegas. These are all of the best sushi restaurants in the downtown area.
Best Sushi in Downtown Las Vegas
The Pepper Club
The Pepper Club is located inside the new English Hotel, which can be found in the Arts District of downtown Las Vegas. This upscale sushi restaurant serves a range of delicious Japanese and Mediterranean Fusion inspired dishes.
They have an extensive menu that includes sashimi and maki, along with a raw sushi bar that serves fresh omakase (the omakase comes highly recommended). You can also order a wide range of sushi rolls, nigiri, and soups. Best of all, most of the ingredients are locally sourced. This is by far one of the best sushi restaurants in Vegas.
- Location: 921 S Main St, Las Vegas, NV
- Price Range: $25-$40
YU-OR-MI Sushi Bar
YU-OR-MI Sushi Bar can also be found in the Arts District, right between the Strat and the Fremont Street Experience. This spot serves a full sushi menu that includes sashimi, nigiri, traditional sushi rolls, and specialty rolls.
Some of the different sushi ingredients include snapper, king crab, albacore, salmon, yellowtail, shrimp, sea urchin, lobster, and scallops. The restaurant also offers a couple of main dishes, like lamb chops and chicken teriyaki. YU-OR-MI Sushi Bar allows you to dine in, order takeout, or place an order for delivery.
- Location: 100 E California Ave, Las Vegas, NV
- Price Range: $20-$25
Sushiro
Sushiro is a lesser-known sushi spot found a bit north of Fremont Street. It’s an all-you-can-eat sushi spot with great food. The number of options at Sushiro rivals some of the AYCE sushi places in the Chinatown District of Las Vegas.
The menu offers appetizers, soups, salads, sushi nigiri, rice bowls, and sushi rolls. There are a ton of sushi roll options, including classic rolls, crunch rolls, deep-fried rolls, baked rolls, burrito rolls, cucumber rolls, and specialty rolls. They also have a cheap lunch special that runs daily from 11:30 am to 3:00 pm.
- Location: 556 N Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV
- Price Range: $25-$30 for AYCE
Best Sushi on Fremont Street Las Vegas
There are only 2 sushi restaurants located directly on Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas – Sushi Ichaniban and Red Asian Cuisine. Both sushi spots can be found inside casinos on Fremont Street.
Sushi Ichiban
Sushi Ichiban is located inside the El Cortez Casino. It’s one of the few all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants in downtown Las Vegas. The AYCE menu costs $29.95 and features plenty of sushi rolls and nigiri.
Sushi Ichiban also offers a number of excellent appetizers, including edamame, pork belly, oysters, calamari tempura, baked mussels, and corn cheese. Takeout is available upon request, however, you can’t order all-you-can-eat to-go.
- Location: 520 E Fremont St #150, Las Vegas, NV (El Cortez)
- Price Range: $30 for AYCE
Red Asian Cuisine
Red Asian Cuisine is located down the street from Sushi Ichiban, inside of the Golden Nugget. It’s located on the main casino floor and serves a variety of Chinese and Japanese dishes.
Some items on the menu include soups, sushi rolls, and stir-fried dishes, like Kung Pao Chicken and Sweet & Sour Pork. There’s also a Happy Hour Menu that offers $6 Sake Bombs and $9 Salmon & Avocado sushi rolls. Currently, Red Asian Cusine is only open on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 4 pm to 10 pm.
- Location: 129 E Fremont St Main Floor, Las Vegas, NV (Golden Nugget)
- Price Range: $20-$30
All-You-Can-Eat Sushi on Fremont Street
There are only two restaurants in downtown Las Vegas that serve all-you-can-eat sushi – Sushi Ichiban and Sushiro. Both restaurants have good-sized menus and are roughly the same price (although, Sushiro has a cheaper lunch special).
It’s tough to choose between the two, but Sushi Ichiban is more convenient since it’s located directly on Fremont Street. Sushi Ichiban also gets slightly better reviews online.
Top Sushi Restaurant in Downtown Las Vegas
I used to really enjoy Bocho Sushi, which was located only a block off Fremont Street. However, Bocho Sushi recently closed. Now, the top sushi restaurants in downtown Las Vegas are YU-OR-MI Sushi Bar and The Pepper Club. Both establishments serve excellent sushi and have outstanding service. The Pepper Club is a bit more expensive, but the quality of the fish is unmatched.
