Las Vegas has some of the best steakhouses in the country. Since moving to the city a few years ago, I’ve been on a mission to try all of them. After eating at all of the top-rated steakhouses in Vegas, I’ve put together a list of the best ones.

Most steakhouses in Las Vegas are located directly on the Strip, but not all of them. I’ll also include some of the best steakhouses off the Strip and in downtown Las Vegas in this article. So without further ado, these are the best places to eat a steak in Las Vegas.

Las Vegas Steakhouses

1. Prime Steakhouse

PRIME Steakhouse is one of the premier steakhouses in Vegas. The kitchen at PRIME is run by celebrity chef Jean-Georges, who also runs Jean Georges Steakhouse at the Bellagio (more on this later).

The menu at PRIME Steakhouse features both steak and seafood. You’ll find many mouthwatering options here like the bone-in rib eye, filet mignon, and seared sea bass. The restaurant has a great menu of sides as well. Some of my favorite sides include the roasted summer squash, french fries, and baked potato.

2. Bazaar Meat By Jose Andres

Bazaar Meat By Jose Andres is one of the most popular Las Vegas steakhouses right now. The restaurant offers a unique take on a ton of different types of meats. You can order your choice of traditional Wagyu and Kobe beef, and have it prepared tableside by one of the chefs. I really enjoyed the grass-fed beef.

I recommend trying the tasting menu if you’re willing to spend a couple of bucks. It’s money well spent considering this restaurant has two Michelin stars. You can find Bazaar Meat inside the Sahara Las Vegas Hotel & Casino on the north end of the Strip.

  • Location: 2535 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV

3. Golden Steer Steakhouse Las Vegas

Golden Steer Steakhouse Las Vegas is the city’s longest-standing steakhouse. Everyone from Elvis to Muhammad Ali has eaten at Golden Steer, so the restaurant has an authentic old-vegas dining atmospere.

The chefs here serve prime-aged steaks like prime rib, filet mignon, rib eye, and porterhouse, along with some seafood dishes. The service here is top-notch, but they do enforce a dress code (no flip flops, swimwear, hats, or athletic shorts). If you’re looking to eat some Vegas steaks off the Strip, Golden Steer should be your first choice.
